M 55 Bird evolved from a challenge I made to myself to create a similar Anthropologie version which is definitely out of my $ range.
- Bird is carved resin material. I have added the sculptor's glass eyes & re-painted the body
- Tail has been extended with a copper plate (re-used from a scripture booklet my niece gave me
- Embellished with 1 seahorse multi-metal earring; an intricate butterly pin; a silver & etched bird (perched on top of the bird's head)pin; and with cuckoo clock metal & wooden parts
- Twig nest
- Mary Engelbreit metal cup base
- Wooden, orange croquet ball from my childhood days at the farm on M 55 in Michigan
- Wreath wire
M 55 Bird is sure of himself, jaunty, & ready to wend his way wherever the teensy cuckoo bird prompts him.
Remember: 2 birds in a cup are better than 1 in a shrub.
