This Snow Creature has been created by Sherry Candy Lane...Artist...(c)2009. The angel is a treasure found on Ebay...an old silver 1950's tree topper. Base is a 50 cent sparkle top hat discovered on a Stop and Shop discount rack. All the plastic, silver flowers from a tag sale. Also included...homemade & consignment shop icicle ornaments. The wand woven of beads & glass orns & fake ice. One spectacular snowflake is actually a package adornment.

Winter Bliss

At last, a taste of Michigan winter in Connecticut! Winter bliss.

This wagon wheel may have plowed thru many farm lanes in the past--now it caps the porch, listening to crow tales.

In icy setting, I see sitting, shivering cherub bearing frozen shellflakes.

Christmas Presence

Let is snow...let it snow..tinsel garlands, glass nests of birds with pipe cleaner halos, & a sassy moon carrying a midnight candle.

This Santa has decorated our home for many years.

Persimmon Red brush Wreaths make sweet nests for the vintage 1950's deer found at a local consignment shop.

White barn owl & clever cone bird arrange a sleigh ride over long icicle paths...

Christmas isn't complete w.o. at least one Mary Engelbreit (midwestern artist) 'BELIEVE' stocking.

Little mice sleep in their eeensy boxes while the angels keep watch. The largest angel has been in my collection for at least 40 years...a purchase from Grants--a dimestore/general store--in Michigan in the late 60's.

Found in my travels, this smashing, dreamy evening bag....a nice nest for the pair of woolly, well-fed Snow Birds.

What is the best Christmas Presence? MK, of course, along with Elizabeth & Matthew. What a Stocking Stuffer.

Outside on the porch, a gentle circle of woodland creatures await the goodies on the tree...acorns, candy, and nuts...A jumbo bowl holds silver garland & old glass bulbs 'round a fun architectural garden finial.

An Anthropologie Glass-covered Bird, framed and re-framed with a snowy wreath chirps 'merrily' over the mantle. Wooden nativity silouettes announce the reason for the season, pillared by shabby wooden trees.

Orbs & Stars,tinsel & miniature, vintage strands of golden trumpeting angels herald Christmas Joy...

Small flocks of birds gather 'round Jesus, caged with silver-wound star & glittered name tag...berries inside & two tiny little bluebirds keep the Babe company...

A quiet gnome on a silent country night has been boxed to cherish the moment...antique wreath pin fests up the simple wooden buildings...generous sprinklings of glitter light up the Christmas Presence of Peace, Love, and Joy.

Jack Frost works his magic in the midst of assorted snowflakes & icicles.

Chandelier boasts fragile, old ornaments, glass copper cones, & a creamy victorian snowchild...

Gnomes in starry hats & in jar lids hasten the happiness of one wonderful grandson. Glass etched spheres predict the everlasting fun of the holidays.

Ivy cups & Balsam-scented candles, Precocious Santa bring our little Elizabeth from North Carolina.

Gingerbread houses, anthropologie cupcakes, pink pinstriped baubles adorn the baker's rack.

Elves, Santa, Sugarplum Fairies, Tinsel, Silver Bells, Jingle Bells...

Icicles, Snowmen, Winter Owls, Jack Frost, Small Flocks of Birds...

Fantasy trees, angels, babies, snow-babies, deer, lights, nativity...

Christmas Presence...

At our house...soon to be Christmas Memories...brewed with the tea of Christmas Love and Sweetened with the honey & spice of family, decorations, giving & receiving gifts, good food...

The Rosary, Mary, and Medjugorje

A gentle word to all who see with the eyes of their heart....Please spend time each day in Prayer. Communicate with God. Have a relationship with Him, so you can see the great things He does for you each day. Read the Bible--even if just a few verses at a time--and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to what He wants you to know.

If you are Catholic, Pray The Rosary, go to Confession at least once a month, do penance, and try to give up something--anything--for the Reparation of Sins, Conversion of Sinners, and all the Souls in Purgatory...Give up one of your favorite tv shows...stop watching unnecessary programming on tv...give up goodies, etc....make sacrifices for the Immaculate Heart of Mary so she can present our humble ways with Love to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

It is in these ways that we can: Live Heaven on Earth; Help Mary Triumph with Her Son's Return in Glory to earth some day; Help bring Souls to Heaven; Bring the Light of Jesus to everyone He puts in our path; Lessen the chastisement the Good Lord may be planning because of the Godlessness in the world today.
