Indigo Mermaid Wave, a whimsical mermaid shadowbox,created by Sherry Candy Lane, is a delightful, magical water scene. It measures approx. 12" x 12". Composed of paper illustration in the background that has been broadened with matching acrylic paints to complete the width of the side-to-side setting.
In the foreground, a tropical drink umbrella has been recycled to shade a shapely mermaid on the shore. Majenta wire ribbon ties in with turquoise wire ribbon, fabric beach ball style button, earring stars, assorted shells,vintage jewels, sea glass and metal flowers border the bottom
front.

A dangle of sea gray beads give movement over the mermaid scene. (A glare from the camera makes this photo less desirable -- sorry).
What fun it would be to laze down the water on the little gondola-type boat, filled with sitarists & an enchanted Siren. Gazeboes and Pagodas in the far side entice.
Majenta Blossoms on River trees overhang with vivid beauty. The colors tie in with the beachbrella.
Layer upon Layer of Teal, Indigo Blues, Majenta, & Night Shades echo the whisper of the Mermaids' Wave as Time brings their secret worlds together.
